INVESTORS IN PEOPLE…..BUILDING ON OUR SUCCESS!
Streetwork UK is very proud to announce that they have been recognised as an Investors in People after achieving the standard on 15 December 2005. This achievement formally recognises our commitment to training and development and looks forward to the bottom-line benefits that improved people-performance delivers.
Since 1992, Streetwork employees, volunteers, service users and friends have created an asset of immense value - our reputation. We embarked on this process to signal our commitment to best practice in managing our people towards our business goals, ensuring that we make a real and lasting difference to those who are at risk on the streets. This continuous improvement will strength our reputation for delivering the goods, for high standards of professionalism and a willingness to go that extra mile for some of the most vulnerable.
Rachael Wallace-Lane says: “ We are fully committed to developing workforce skills in order to achieve our wider business aims at Streetwork. We owe it to our service users to deliver our services to the highest possible standard and to make the journey motivating and rewarding and at the same time for our staff. We have used the Investors in People planning process to set up our training and development programme so that it delivers focused, up to date skills to our people. This will be a major factor in driving our future success and to be leaders in our field.”
Ruth Spellman, Chief Executive of Investors in People UK comments: “Putting people development at the heart of every function is the most cost- effective decision a business can make. Employees are central to business success so it is vital for staff to be skilled, flexible and motivated. This can be best achieved through planned and consistent training and development. The Investors In People framework ensures that if you look after the inputs the outputs will look after themselves.”
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our service users and staff, as without you this would not of been possible, you have been our greatest asset. |
