Get Digital is Scotland’s brand new digital inclusion programme for the homelessness sector funded by the Scottish Government and delivered by Streetwork in partnership with a range of service providers.
We want people affected by homelessness in Scotland to have the digital skills and confidence to access the benefits of the digital world. We want staff, too, to have this skill and confidence. Staff are in a key position to be able to share what they learn with others and support people on their own digital journeys. Being more digitally confident benefits individuals and can help organisations too.
Get Digital is set up to help increase the digital capabilities of service users and staff within the homelessness sector. We do this by providing training, support and resources. We want people affected by or working in homelessness to experience an improved quality of life by benefiting from the digital world.
We are currently developing and piloting our approach within Streetwork and Simon Community Scotland. We are now inviting collaboration from other service providers in Scotland who are delivering core homelessness services – so that we can share what we are learning and offer this support across Scotland.
