HOUSING SUPPORT

Moving on from crisis to your own
home can be lonely and isolating.

Our Housing Support Project works with people with addictions, mental health issues and other needs, providing support in their own homes, their own communities and helps to avoid future housing crisis.

It’s a relief for people to move from a chaotic lifestyle with repeat housing crisis to a settled place of their own but it’s a big change and our Housing Support team work in partnership with people to make the first steps to independent living. Often people have complex and multiple needs such as addictions, mental health and physical health issues and lack self esteem and life skills to make their change a lasting one.

We work with people who want to make the change and develop an action plan to address the needs and issues that get in the way of them achieving it. This could be practical or emotional support or a friendly face by their side to help them integrate into their local community. In the longer term it could be training or employment, building the skills and knowledge that will help avoid crisis in the future.

If crisis occurs or needs change, we are quick to act and get things back on track, working at a pace that people can manage.
